Questions about pouches
What is the difference between a stand up pouch and a flat bottom pouch?
A stand up pouch has a folded gusset in the base, so it stands but rounds out when full. A flat bottom pouch has side gussets and a square base, so it stands like a box and shows five printed panels. Flat bottom costs more and suits coffee and premium dry goods.
What is a mylar bag?
Mylar bag is the common name for a barrier pouch made with a metallized or foil layer, which blocks light, oxygen and moisture. Our mylar range covers smell proof, child resistant and die-cut bags; see the custom mylar bags guide to the three.
Can a pouch have a window?
Yes, on most film structures. A window cannot go on a foil smell proof bag because it breaks the foil barrier. Each product page says whether a window is available.
What is the minimum order for custom pouches?
Most pouch styles start at 200 units. Some start higher, up to 1,000 for die-cut mylar, chip and window pouches. Each product page shows its own minimum.
