Supplement pouch
Foil laminate, zipper200 minimum · 10 to 14 business daysA supplement pouch is a stand up or flat bottom bag built on a foil laminate that keeps moisture, oxygen and light off powders, capsules and gummies, with a resealable zipper and a tear notch. We produce them, printed digitally, from 200 units in 10 to 14 business days after proof, matte or gloss. The 1 pound protein size and the 30 count capsule size are the most ordered.
When to choose it, and when not to
Choose a supplement pouch for protein and collagen powders, greens blends, electrolyte mixes, capsules and gummies, anywhere a foil bag can replace a plastic tub. A pouch weighs a tenth of a tub, ships flat and stands on a shelf, and the foil layer keeps hygroscopic powders from clumping. Run a flat bottom style for 1 pound and up so the bag stands square when half empty. Reserve back panel space for the supplement facts panel and required statements; this is packaging guidance, not legal advice.
Choose a supplement carton with a bottle or jar inside when the product is a daily capsule the buyer opens 30 times, because a zipper wears faster than a cap. Choose a sample sachet for single-dose trial packs under 1 ounce, which need no zipper and run on a narrower seal.

Questions people ask
Why foil rather than metallized film?
Moisture. Protein, collagen and greens powders pull water from the air and clump. A true aluminum foil layer holds water vapor transmission under 0.01 gram per 100 square inches per day; metallized film sits around 0.03 to 0.06. Over a 12 month shelf life that difference is a free-flowing powder versus a brick.
Can I include a scoop?
Yes. Drop the scoop in before you seal; we do not supply scoops but the bag is sized with clearance for a standard 30 or 60 cc scoop on 8 ounce sizes and up. Some brands seal the scoop in a small three side seal sachet inside the bag so it stays clean.
Does the pouch need a tamper seal?
Retailers often expect one. We can add a heat seal above the zipper that the buyer tears at the notch, which is the simplest tamper evidence. A printed tamper strip or a shrink band are not needed on a pouch. Your compliance adviser should confirm what your product category requires; this is packaging guidance, not legal advice.
How much space does the supplement facts panel need?
On a 7 by 11.5 inch bag the back panel gives you about 6 by 8 inches of flat print area, which fits a full supplement facts panel at 6 point type with room for directions and a warning. Send the panel as vector artwork and we set it at the required type size for the panel width.
Can the pouch be white inside?
The inside of a foil laminate is silver, which is what buyers usually expect from a supplement bag. If you want a white interior we can run a white PE sealant layer on request. It does not change the barrier.
How is the supplement pouch different from the supplement carton?
The pouch is the container: foil laminate, 4 to 5 mil, with a resealable zipper and an optional tamper strip, keeping moisture, oxygen and light off powders, capsules and gummies sold by weight, from 200 units in 10 to 14 business days after proof. The supplement carton is a box around a bottle, 18pt SBS with a facts panel on the back, from 200 units in 10 to 14 business days. Powders and refills go in the pouch; bottled capsules go in the carton.
