Champagne foil

Champagne foil is a warm, pale metallic foil, quieter than gold, pressed onto the box with a heated die. It holds fine detail and photographs without glare, which makes it the usual choice for one restrained mark on skincare, fragrance and jewelry packaging. It suits a logo or a name; across large solid areas it reads as shiny rather than refined.

When to choose it, and when not to

Choose champagne for brands that want a metallic accent without shouting: a skincare carton in soft-touch, a jewelry drawer box in dark linen, a fragrance box in matte black. It is also the safer foil if the box will be photographed a lot, because it does not flare under studio light.

Skip it when you want maximum shelf impact under bright lighting; gold foil is stronger there. If you want no shine at all, a blind deboss pressed into the wrap is the quietest premium mark.

Questions about champagne foil

What color is champagne foil?

A pale, warm metallic between gold and silver. It reads as gold-adjacent in person but without gold's brightness.

Is champagne foil good for fine type?

Yes. It holds fine detail well, which is one reason it suits monograms and small logos on jewelry and skincare boxes.

Does champagne foil work on linen?

Yes. Dark linen with a champagne foil mark is one of the most reliable premium combinations for rigid boxes.

Can I combine champagne foil with deboss?

Yes. Foil and deboss can be registered together so the mark is both pressed in and metallic, or used separately on different panels.
