Choose a rigid cigar box for a limited release, a retail gift set, or an event favor where the box is a keepsake in its own right and a handful of cigars need a presentable, cedar-lined home for the short term.
Choose a proper humidor instead of any cardboard-based box if the goal is long-term humidity-controlled storage, since paperboard, even cedar-lined, doesn't hold or regulate humidity the way a sealed wood humidor does.

Will this box keep cigars fresh long-term?
No. It holds and presents them well for days to a few weeks depending on your climate, but it isn't a sealed, humidity-controlled environment the way a proper humidor is. For anything beyond short-term gifting or display, cigars should move to a humidor.
Is genuine cedar veneer required, or does the scented paper liner work?
The scented paper liner gets you the cedar aroma and look at a lower cost and shorter lead time, and it's what most gifting and retail-release boxes use. Genuine cedar veneer is a real wood upgrade for a more premium, tactile box, at added cost and about a week more lead time.
Can the cavity fit a mixed selection of different cigar sizes?
Yes, we can spec a die-cut cavity insert to hold a specific mixed lineup rather than uniform cigars. Tell us your exact sizes and count and we'll size the divider to fit.
What's the age-verification requirement for shipping filled cigar boxes?
Rules on shipping tobacco to consumers, including age verification and adult-signature delivery, come from federal law, state law and each carrier's own policy, and they change. Can I get the box unlined for a non-cigar use, like a keepsake or gift box?
Yes, the same rigid structure works fine as a plain lined or unlined keepsake box for other products. Just let us know and we'll skip the cedar liner and cavity cutting.
Does the magnetic hinge hold up to repeated opening?
Yes, the magnetic latch on the hinged lid is rated for regular use. It's the same hardware we use on our standard magnetic-closure rigid boxes.
How is the cigar box different from the hinged lid box?
The cigar box is heavier and lined: 1500 gsm chipboard with a cedar-scented paper liner as standard or a cedar veneer upgrade, a hinged or lift-off lid, and a foam or paperboard divider sized to your cigar count, from 250 units in 14 to 16 business days after proof. The hinged lid box is 1200 gsm with a wrap hinge and ribbon stay, built for jewelry and keepsakes, from 200 units in 12 to 14 business days. Neither is a humidor. For a cigar release or event favor, choose the cigar box.
