Suitcase box
E-flute corrugated with kraft wrap, molded carry handle200 minimum · 10 to 12 business daysA suitcase box is a corrugated shipper built with rounded corners and a die-cut carry handle in the lid, so the box itself can be carried like a small case rather than set down the moment it arrives. It ships flat, folds up without glue on the handle joint, and holds its shape under the handle's weight because the corner locks take the load instead of the print surface. We produce them from 200 units, ready in about 10 to 12 business days after proof.
When to choose it, and when not to
Choose a suitcase box when the unboxing itself is part of the gift: a subscription drop, a press kit, or a retail gift set where you want the recipient to pick it up by the handle before they've opened it, not just slit the tape and pull the flaps back.
Choose a plain corrugated mailer instead if the box is going straight into a drawer or recycling bin the moment the product comes out. The molded handle adds real cost and isn't worth it if nobody's going to carry the box anywhere.

Questions people ask
Does the handle actually hold weight, or is it decorative?
It's structural. The handle cutout is reinforced at the fold line and rated for the kind of retail carry weight you'd expect from a gift set or shoe box, not just a few ounces.
Can this ship through the mail without an outer box?
Yes, the corrugated wall and corner-lock construction are built to go straight into a carrier's network, and we size it to stay inside standard parcel dimensional pricing tiers where possible.
What's the smallest size you'll build this in?
Around 8 x 5 x 3 inches is our practical floor. Smaller than that, the handle cutout starts to compete with too much of the lid's surface area.
Can we get kraft interior and full color exterior, or does it have to be one or the other?
That's the standard build: kraft on the inside keeps cost down where nobody's looking, and full color goes on every visible exterior panel.
Do you offer this without the handle, just the suitcase shape?
Yes, we can drop the handle and keep the rounded-corner silhouette if you want the look without the added carry cost.
How does pricing change between 200 units and a larger run?
Corner-lock corrugated construction has a real per-unit cost that comes down at volume. We can quote 200, 500, and 1,000 side by side so you can see where it flattens out.
How is the suitcase box different from a gable box?
Both have a handle built into the box, but they do different jobs. The suitcase box is E-flute corrugated with rounded corners and a reinforced die-cut handle, a gift set or press kit the recipient carries like a small case, from 200 units in 10 to 12 business days after proof. The gable box is an 18pt SBS folding carton with a peaked top that folds up into the handle, for a lunch, a bakery item or a small retail gift carried out the door, from 300 units in 8 to 10 business days. If the box needs to survive shipping, choose the suitcase box.
