Kraft drawstring bag
Kraft wrap, cotton cord drawstring closure200 minimum · 10 to 12 business daysA drawstring bag is a kraft paper bag that closes by pulling a cord through eyelets punched near the top, cinching the neck shut without a box lid, ribbon tie, or separate closure hardware. It's a common format for gift sets, jewelry, and small subscription items specifically because the closure does double duty as the presentation: the cinched neck looks finished the second it's pulled tight. We produce them from 200 units, ready in about 10 to 12 business days after proof.
When to choose it, and when not to
Choose a drawstring bag when the product itself is the presentation and you don't want a box's flat panels competing with it. Jewelry, candles, and small gift-set items all work well because pulling the cord is a small, satisfying unboxing moment on its own.
Choose a rigid drawer box or a folding carton instead if the product needs real structural protection in transit. A paper drawstring bag offers no rigid support, so anything fragile or heavy enough to need cushioning belongs in a box first.

Questions people ask
Will the eyelets hold up to repeated opening and closing?
The eyelets are reinforced at the punch point for exactly that. Paper is still paper, though, so if the bag is meant to be reused many times, order a physical sample and open and close it a few dozen times before you commit to the run.
Can the cord color match our branding instead of standard cotton?
Cord color options are available. Tell us what you're matching to and we'll confirm what's in stock or what a custom-dyed cord run would add to lead time.
Is there any structural support inside, or is it just paper?
It's a soft paper bag with no rigid insert. If your product needs cushioning or a fixed position inside the bag, we can discuss adding a simple paperboard insert.
What's the smallest size you'll produce this in?
Around 3 x 4 inches is practical for a small jewelry-scale bag. Smaller than that, the eyelet spacing gets tight relative to the bag's width.
Can we print inside the bag as well as outside?
Yes, interior printing is available. Our usual advice is to leave the inside kraft and spend the design budget on the outside, where it's seen first.
How does cost scale from 200 units to a larger order?
Cord and eyelet hardware carry a real per-unit cost that doesn't drop as sharply as pure paper printing. We can quote a few quantities so you can compare directly.
How is the kraft drawstring bag different from the ribbon handle gift bag?
Both close at the top. The drawstring bag is kraft paper with a cotton cord pulled through reinforced eyelets, a flat bottom and no gusset, printed full color, from 200 units in 10 to 12 business days after proof. The ribbon handle gift bag is laminated matte art paper with a satin or grosgrain ribbon drawn through and tied, and takes foil and flocking, from 200 units in 12 to 14 business days. Natural, small-batch brands suit the kraft drawstring; boutiques and fragrance counters suit the ribbon bag.
